Singapore Symphonic Orchestra

The Singapore Symphonic Orchestra is a recognisable sinfonieta around the world. Its cardinal purpose is to strengthen the ties between the West and Asia in terms of musical customs. Furthermore, it also serves as entertainment, inspiration and education. The SSO is a competent symphony with 96 members. Performances by the SSO are usually performed at the Esplanade Concert Hall, playing famous repertoires and masterpieces to thrilling avant-garde premieres. Moreover, the SSO bolsters up their fame by travelling around the world to countries like America, China, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hong Kong and the like.

Singapore Dance Theatre Ltd

The Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) was first established in 1988 by Goh Soo Khim and the late Anthony Then. Furthermore, it relentlessly tries to attract the common masses by working with schools through their Arts Education Programme (AEP), Dance Appreciation Series (DAS). Through these correlations, SDT is able to widen the public's knowledge and awareness about what goes on in a dancer's life at SDT. SDT is the most reputable dance company in Singapore which nurtures the talents of their skilled dancers with all three major genres, namely classical pieces, neo-classical repertoires and edgy modern works.

Wild Rice Productions

Wild Rice was founded in 2000 by Ivan Heng, an internationally acclaimed and award-winning theatre practitioner. Today, Wild Rice is recognised as one of Singapore's leading professional theatre companies. Wild Rice celebrates Singapore's theatrical talent, by producing and touring productions that are distinctively local in flavour and yet universal in visions and concerns. Wild Rice creates memorable experiences for not only the audiences in Singapore, but also the World.

Wild Rice has put up stage productions like CINDERL-LAH!, young & W!LD's UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE, young & W!LD's FAMILY and ANIMAL FARM, in 2010. These plays are not only put up in Singapore alone, but also put up overseas, such as in Hong Kong and Moscow.

The Artist Village

The Artist's Village was founded by Tang Da Wu in his kampung-studio in Ulu Sembawang in 1988. It was registered as a non-profit society in February 1992. The Artist's Village promotes contemporary art and aims to bring about a better understanding of contemporary art practices and their contribution to society. Since The Artist's Village was founded, they have played a crucial role in the Singapore art scene. They have organised many important art events that serve as platforms for contemporary art projects by local and overseas artists.

The projects initiated by The Artist's Village have been well-received by the Singapore public as well as by other art and cultural practitioners. Their projects which have travelled to international art venues and arts festivals also received equally encouraging responses.
