a commerce hub, it is also quickly becoming a lifestyle and creative centre. Events
coming from a wide array of arts disciplines happen every year in town, along
with heartland celebrations, showcasing the traditional music and art of our many
races and religions.
Over the years, Singapore's arts scene has grown from the simple traditions within the various racial and religious communities to what it is today - a beautiful combination between the contemporary and the traditional, fervent arts appreciation amongst the young and old alike, and a colourful, vibrant scene.
For this website, we will be introducing a variety of arts disciplines in Singapore over the years. This includes celebrations within the community, arts venues, events held locally, arts groups from the four disciplines. We will also show how these events have helped to shape local culture and the arts scene, and how the youths of Singapore are taking part in arts events.
